In 2021 I was appointed to prepare detailed drawings for the refurbishment of the Grand Opera House, it was closed as work being carried out throughout the covid pandemic to refurbish the interior of this historic and much loved theatre.
I was delighted to be involved and spent a few weeks preparing over 80 detailed drawings.
Great to see this week that the GOH has been officially reopened by Prince Charles following its £12.2million revamp. The Prince of Wales was greeted on stage by legendary pantomime dame May McFettridge and the pair shared a joke. The prince then unveiled a plaque to commemorate his visit and mark the theatre’s official reopening.
I am just delighted to have been trusted and appointed to prepare all the detailed drawings of the bars, confectionery counters, reception box office, stalls, toilets, seating, auditorium and foyer etc.

It will be great to see more of my drawings turned into reality when I next visit.
(PS. Apologies for the poor graphics! If I find a better way to transfer CAD drawings onto my website or perhaps you know a better way, let me know please.)
Thanks for reading my Blog!
