Proposals to Extend a Belfast Red Brick Semi.

Writer's picture: Glenn ThompsonGlenn Thompson

I am excited to announce that a planning application has been submitted to Belfast City Council for this single and two-story extension to a semi-detached home in Belfast.

My clients reached out to me after having their home on the market for a long time. They decided to consider extending instead of relocating. It’s true what they say: why move when you can improve? This project exemplifies that idea.

Take a look at the proposed changes, and I hope you appreciate them as much as we do. The extension and modifications will significantly transform this home.

Here is their list of desires and requirements:

Ground Floor

  • Create a more open, spacious living area, including a kitchen, living, and dining space.

  • Install a solid fuel stove in this open-plan family room.

  • Achieve a light and airy atmosphere with windows/glazed doors and easy garden access.

  • Add a downstairs WC and wash hand basin.

First Floor

  • Addition bedroom to be a master bedroom with ensuite.

  • Renovate and reconfigure the bathroom.

The rear of this home now has a fantastic open plan family room with kitchen, dining and sitting area with easy access to the gardens. Also incorporated is a downstairs WC.

On the first floor an additional bedroom provided, a master with ensuite. Also the existing bathroom layout reconfigured and sanitary ware renewed.

Hope you like the changes as much as we do. If you have a project that you would like to discuss with me please feel free to get in touch and thank you for reading my blog. Glenn
